What exactly am I signing up for?
A SmartCredit® membership. SmartCredit® is a credit monitoring and financial education product operated by ConsumerDirect, Inc. Rocket Financial Services is an independent affiliate that recommends it — we are not ConsumerDirect, and the membership agreement is between you and them.
What does it cost after the trial?
Your first 7 days are $1. After that the membership is $24.99 per month, billed as a recurring monthly subscription until you cancel. Exact plan pricing and everything included is shown again on the billing step before you enter any payment details.
How do I cancel?
Cancel your SmartCredit® membership from inside your SmartCredit® account, or by contacting SmartCredit® support. Cancel before day 7 and you are not charged the monthly fee. Cancelling a SmartCredit® membership is independent of anything else you have with Rocket Financial Services — ending one does not end the other.
Is this credit repair?
No. SmartCredit® is a credit monitoring and education product. It does not remove accurate, current information from your credit report, and Action Buttons communicate with your creditors rather than filing formal disputes with the credit bureaus.
Will my score definitely go up?
No one can promise that, and we will not. Scores, score changes, and plus points shown anywhere in the product are estimates for educational planning. Individual results and the speed of results vary, and results are not guaranteed.
What exactly is in this plan?
One 3-Bureau Report & Scores per month, your Smart Credit Report® and scores (up to 10 pulls/month), ScoreTracker, ScoreBuilder®, ScoreBoost™, Future Score, Credit Monitoring with fraud alerts, up to 20 Actions per month, PrivacyMaster® with unlimited removal requests, Data Breach and Dark Web Monitoring, Money Manager, and $1 Million Identity Fraud Insurance covering your household. Is the $1 Million Identity Fraud Insurance included?
Yes — it is part of this plan and covers your household. Activation may be required inside your membership, and coverage is subject to the terms of the underlying policy. Residents of Texas and New York may be subject to restrictions.
Do Actions dispute things with the credit bureaus?
No. Actions go to the creditor that reports the account, not to Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion. A creditor can accept, reject, ask for more information, or not respond at all, and more than one Action may be needed. Nothing about the outcome is guaranteed.
